I LOVED drawing and painting this gorgeous boy. His striking eyes and his fluffy fur make you want to pick him up and smoosh his face! ANZACAnzac, so beautifully named in tribute to the day he met his owner had such a loving and gorgeous family (and friends). I was asked to draw this gorgeous spotty nose by a friend of his owner when he passed. It was such a thoughtful gift from a beautiful friend, given in tribute on Anzac Day. GYPSIEThis little smoosh face was taken in as a Foster Pup while she was in training to become a seeing eye dog! How amazing is that! I can’t imagine how you say goodbye to this face, but Alex and Jo had to once she was ready to work with someone who needed her. And so, as a 40th birthday pressie for Alex, this portrait came to be. It was such a pleasure to bring these eyes to life. STANLEYLook at his little wrinkles! Hehehe. And his smile. Oh you cutiepie. I had the pleasure of painting Stanley as a gift for Andrew’s wife Abbey. It was a gift to hang in their brand new home! Such a sweetheart. Andrew too. Hehe. STEVEComing up with this commission was so much fun. I was asked to draw the mischievous Steve as a Chrissy present from Harriet to her partner Dean. At 56x76cm it’s a big one, but it really gave me the chance to meet the brief! An inky drippy piece that still captures Steve’s unbelievable cuteness! CINDY CLAWFORDWell her name says it all… This princess deserves to be surrounded in foliage. A pretty little birthday present for her owner. OTTERSOh this was such a cute little family of baby sea otters just makes me want to rub each of their fluffy bellies for luck! I was asked to create this cute little collection of fluff balls for a stunning Mumma - Pam, from all of her very own little bubs. MELISSANamed for the incredible owner of this piece, MELISSA was a creation of colour and florals. Having the opportunity to make this 2mx2m beauty was an honour. Mel’s love for art shone through as we worked through the commission process together. Our shared love for fat layers of oil paint meant that by the end of the process, you could almost dip your hands into the piece and come out with floral marshmallows. I loved the inspiration she brought to making this. And so it is MELISSA. LITTLE RASCALSThinking of a pressie for your Dad can be tricky. Especially if they’re the kind of Dad that has everything they need. These little rascals are their Dad’s pride and joy, so their Mumma had me draw a pic of them from one of their recent adventures! Such a good idea. And check out the Blue Steel! FAMILY MEMORIESChristmas is the time for family and what better gift to give than a family memory. This family portrait was from the whole family as a present for their dad with the magic moustache. Such lovely idea. MUMMAThis commission was a special present to celebrate a significant birthday by capturing a memory to keep forever. FRANKIE no. 1Well look at this handsome young man! I had the absolute pleasure of doing so while drawing Frankie at different stages of his life. It felt like I was getting to know him as I drew those cute ears and loving eyes, and oh my goodness that smile! FRANKIE no. 2Well look at this handsome young man! Simon wanted to capture his best mate’s love for cars as well as his love for his beautiful girls. So we came up with this! These two little spunks, (well three really hehe) are family. And so is the HOLDEN.
